Norma, a weathered Nevada rancher, Melody, a ranch foreman and rodeo enthusiast, and two young cowgirls being brought up on an Oregon ranch are the cowgirls of this film. The four talk about the pains and pleasures of ranch work, their inspirations and their hopes, and demonstrate their skills at roping, riding and performing other ranch chores in ruggedly beautiful settings.
