Description: Conjoining his life as a bricklayer and filmmaker, Winkler constructs a film which, on one level simply records the temporal process of bricklaying, but on another is a highly abstract study that transforms the wall's structural identity. The film begins with panning shots across the wall's facade, and then moves into static shots rhythmically edited. Due to the shift in Winkler's camera perspective, the pattern of bricks is ever-changing. Each individual brick is seen to be unique in tone and texture.
