The story of a cross country auto race in 1909 from New York City to Seattle. The race is recreated in period vehicles and all the stops are visited along the way, looking back to historical photographs and showing present-day towns. Old cars, historic cars, some animation. There is a big parade and celebration at the end in Seattle followed by some dirt road driving in the old car.
