Complete Record: Five teenagers (two boys and three girls aged 14-19) talk about their true personal experiences with alcoholism. Two of them started drinking at age 9, another at 12, and all became alcoholics. They tell how they started, why they continued, and how they eventually realized that drinking was not a solution to their problems and decided to do something about it. Their reasons for drinking included peer pressure, proof of masculinity, loneliness and fear, poor self-image, a sense of inadequacy, etc. They discuss the danger signals of alcoholism: inability to refuse a drink, not drinking “just for fun” anymore, etc. Finally, they tell where to find help: doctor, psychiatrist, hot lines, school counselor, and Alcoholics Anonymous.
