The film takes place through several seasons and shows city scenes of NYC and the Bronx Zoo as well as shots of Broadway and the statue of Liberty. The film ends with a horse race, possibly Jamaica race course. Shots of Long Island, and daughter’s second Christmas, New York City, the Bronx Zoo, Statue of Liberty, Ferry boat, Race track, most was filmed in 1948 but the child’s christmas scene was filmed in 1957.

The Dungan Home movies--four reels of 16mm film, donated by Ruth Ann Dungan, shot by Frank R. Dungan, in the late 1940s and 50s, along with an assortment of camera equipment. The films depict vacations taken by Frank and his family while in the military and offer insight into midcentury amateur film, the American economy and travel post-World War II. Scenes of New York within the films show Manhattan, Long Island, Coney Island, Jones Beach and Jamaica racetrack. Other films show scenes in Paris, France and Switzerland.
