Shot by an unknown amateur American filmmaker in 1943, this silent film shows various family scenes including a magician performing a hat trick.

00:00 Youth play with clubs for a game of summer lawn family golf (:12). A boy plays on a ladder, shimmying his way to the top for a look see (:40). Men ready fishing poles for a water adventure while toying with the family dog (1:08). Fashion of the time is highlighted; boys were high waisted pants accompanied by button downs under sweaters. Girls wear smart caps and thick fur lined winter jackets, long dresses underneath often accompanied by stockings and closed toed shoes (1:20). The troupe marches off with fishing gear; tackle boxes, picnic baskets and poles (1:39). Fishing and picnic gear gets stuffed into the family car; a 1930’s era Ford Model A (1:48). The Ford peels off (2:11) with the dog trailing after. Two girls dance for the camera (2:15). A kid shovels dirt next to a flat wagon (2:38). The father points and aims with a long rifle (2:50) and hunting jacket. He squeezes off a couple, snaps the rifle back quickly dropping burnt shells (2:56). A daughter struggles to tug her mother in the wagon (3:01). Mother and daughter kick back and forth on rocking horses (3:34).
