1928-1930
Trip around Maine and Vermont by boat and by car: shots on board a ship, scenic shots from the side of the road whilst driving around the countryside, a picnic in the countryside with a bottle of champagne, The Great Northern Paper Mill in Millinocket, Maine, and scenes of logs and workmen at the mill, a house and three young men come out and pose for the camera in front of the house, title card for Mt. Desert, Wiscasset, Bethel and Battleboro, fishing from a motorboat and taking a rowboat to a nearby island, raking for oysters, cooking the fish outdoors, shots of the schooner Bowdoin at dock, people posing outside Farwell’s Tea Rooms in Bethel, Maine, then shots taken from a car as it drives along country roads and pulls into a garage.

This film collection consists of home movies shot by Fredrick C. Adams from the 1920s through the 1950s in the Northeast, including Maine, Connecticut, Nova Scotia, and Labrador.
