This news segment for Houston’s KPRC-TV captures a youth baseball game on June 29, 1968. The “KRC” on some of the adolescents uniforms possibly refers to a King Recreation Center. The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center is located in Houston’s Third Ward, a historically African-American neighborhood. The footage is silent and would have been voiced over by the anchorperson during a live broadcast.
