Shirley Temple and Jack Oakie star as the Ballantine family vaudeville troupers in a new town. The film is based on the story of a family who are forced to retire from their act after a hurricane hits the town. It's not surprising that a hurricane hit the town, and because of the generosity, strength and conviction in the face of disaster, it appears that the family just might win over the residents.
