hello my name's Bill Nesbitt I work for pram Canada Limited the company that makes the best automobile oil filters in the world there's a sign on my office door that says general sales manager which simply means that my responsibility is keeping dealers such as your husband supplied with Fram products but one thing sure when it comes to selling Fram to the actual driving customer your husband is the one who's the real expert I guess you'd say my job is trying to help him sell more Fram filters for more profit few weeks ago my boss called me into his office and said Bill we've been offering premiums to Fram dealers for quite a while how about their wives let's choose something nice for the ladies okay now when the president of a company says let's do something I've been around long enough to know he means you do it and when Paul Hart says okay with a question mark after it well I generally agree with him kind of makes the day move a bit smoother well picking out a suitable gift for ladies isn't exactly one of my strong points thinking back I remembered the times when I gave my wife Mary's it's delightfully feminine gifts as an electric hedge trimmer and even a portable gasoline stove for picnics tell you they went over like a lead balloon like the day I bought that outboard motor for a birthday of course now I'm better trained but she was still a bit concerned when I told her about my current problem you see I made the mistake of suggesting a nice house planter made from Fram filter casings Well when things cool down she said Bill you're okay but when it comes to women I'm afraid you're still in the Dark Ages don't you know that the nicest gift you can give a woman is something she can use all by herself sure a practical gift is fine but it's so much nicer if it's more personal well before I could suggest something like a new tennis racket she got a hold of one of her women's magazines and pointed to a real colorful ad there she said I'll bet you a kiss against a candlelight and wine dinner that any woman would love to own one of those especially a busy housewife with a family what was it well a real pretty portable hair dryer made by Samson Dominion that cost 24.95 in the stores it's their Lorelei model and it's really feminine all right because it's colored in pastel pink and has a high fashion design that lets you keep it right on your vanity table or dresser as an attractive accessory it's steadily built but very light in weight and you can use it placed on a table or even carry it with you if you like the motor is powerful but whisper quiet and right on the side it has a three position heat control with a built-in safety thermostat best of all my wife says is the lightweight flexible hose and the extra large vented cap that'll help you get professional results with any hairstyle even those beehive Fashions whatever they are without the hose attached this dryer does a great job of drying nail polish quickly which I imagine should please husbands who aren't entirely sympathetic about such problems oh and another thing there's a special direct blowing attachment that's just right for drying lingerie and believe it or not even pets we had some of the girls at the office try this hair dryer and they really liked it one of the comments I got a kick out of was that it's a good thing the color is pink or some of our dealers would use it to dry out spark plugs or distributor caps it's a sure thing they won't use it to dry their hair if it's as scarce as my bosses I guess the only thing left to tell you is that this Samson Dominion Lorelei hair dryer is yours at no cost to you or your husband just remind him to bring it home after he talks to his Fram representative about fram's big new oil filter promotion by the way I got interested in that name Lorelei so I looked it up seems like it was the name of a legendary Ryan River Maiden with beautiful hair who enticed men Into the Depths of course I couldn't resist getting my wife about that but all she did was smile and say Bill Nesbitt you're impossible well maybe you'll say the same thing about your husband when he brings home your hair dryer but I'll bet you smile too goodbye and thanks for listening
