It stock is owned by fifty-eight countries and loans are made for projects to raise the standard of living and achieve a better balance of world trade. Projects shown include help in agriculture development and land reclamation in India; in laying an oil pipeline in Pakistan desert; a barrage to tame the Tigris in Iraq; irrigation tin the south of Italy and Sicily; a dam in Colombia and electrification in Mexico.
