but [Applause] [Music] for about 14 years now I've been delivering mail in this neighborhood I know most of the families and many of the kids delivering mail is a service your family needs but they need a lot of other services too when you think about the workers who come to your house the first one you probably think of is me the mailman from time to time I see many of the other workers who come to your house I'd like to show you some of them like Jimmy the paper boy who comes before [Music] school delivering newspapers is a service think about that newspaper when we're finished reading it what do we do with [Music] it besides throwing away the newspaper think of all the other things we throw away what workers come to our house to take away the garbage the garbage men are workers who provide us with that [Music] service now can you think of any other workers we need please hurry when you have an emergency or any kind of trouble who comes to your house to [Music] help what if someone's house caught on fire you'd know who to call firemen are workers we can't do [Music] without from time to time we also need workers to come to our house to repair things hello hello Mom the line's [Music] dead telephone men sometimes come come into your house to install or repair your [Music] telephone hello yes it's working fine now thank [Music] you I often see others who come to your house to give you Services your family needs like the electric man he reads the meters which tell him how much electricity your family uses another meter is for the gas band to reach and another is for the man from the water company how about when something goes wrong with your plumbing no water in here who do you need to call to fix [Music] it sure the plumber [Music] all right kids no more excuses wash your [Music] hands I tried all the knobs but nothing helped another worker you'd call to fix something is the TV repair man there are other workers who provide services you [Music] want who is a worker your mother sometimes uses a pound of butter two half PB packages of frozen french [Music] fries I see many of the workers who bring Goods to your family [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] what about pictures have you ever had your picture taken at home by a [Music] photographer photographs are another kind of of goods you can buy and what about door-to-door [Music] salesmen some sell brushes and other household things others sell books or magazines so that's how the wankle engine works grown-ups aren't the only ones who come to your house to sell [Music] things well those are some of the workers I see on my route can you remember them some of these workers give you Services you [Music] [Music] need and some other workers come to your house to bring your family different Goods you need need or might [Music] [Music] want can you think of some other workers we haven't seen before and what they do for you like sell [Music] insurance deliver oil for heating homes [Applause] [Music] deliver bottled gas for heating and cooking your family depends on all these workers who come to your house for goods and services [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
