Woodland High School Football: "T" Formation

Description: A 1972 cooperative project between the State of California, US Forest Service and Los Angeles City Fire Department, and partially funded by the wood shake shingle industry, a safety film for the public discussing the importance of greenbelts around structures for safety against wildland fires. This idea is still advocated today under the term "defensible space". Features an introduction by Governor Ronald Reagan, and statements from Albert E. Hole, the State Fire Marshal, Chief of LA City Fire Raymond Hill, State Forester Lew Moran. Includes actual footage of previous wildfire conflagration disasters.
