Description: This film captures the grand opening of a branch library in Austin’s Windsor Park neighborhood in March 1963. The 2,000-square-foot space, known as the Windsor Village Station, was located in the Windsor Village Shopping Center on Berkman Drive. Efforts to build a larger Austin Public Library branch failed until July 2000, when the current Windsor Park Branch Library opened on Westminster Drive.
