Description: All the steps in the creation of a modern stained glass window. The artist, Nissan Engel, is shown as he creates the initial design; lays out the cartoon; selects the shades of colored glass; and supervises the cutting, assembling and leading of the completed windows. Finally, the windows are installed as the artist watches. Since the basic principles and techniques of stained glass have not changed through the centuries, "Windows" is of great value to studies on the Middle Ages, as well as to groups interested in contemporary arts and crafts. There is no narration; the clear photography not only shows the process in full detail, but also conveys the artist's feeling for his craft.
