Description: Shows the country in which the Navajos live, their chief occupation of sheep raising, and the steps in the process of making Navajo rugs from the shearing of sheep to the selling of the finished product at a trading post. Depicts the various steps, including washing and drying the wool, carding and spinning it into yarn, and dyeing and weaving. Shows numerous examples of rug designs.
