Description: This structuralist film, a meditation on cinematic practice, takes the form of a zoom accompanied by a sine wave as it gradually progresses from its lowest note (50 cycles per second) to its highest (12,000 cycles per second)., A complex structural film consisting of one shot, a zoom from a single static angle. Reduces the cinematic element of depth-of-field to an absolute as the dramatic activity is totally limited by the restrictions of the shot. Image, sound and time are manipulated. Within the compass of the camera movements four events transpire including the moving of a bookcase, the playing of a Beatles song, a death and the reporting on the phone of the discovered body.
