Description: Demonstrates diffraction patterns formed when ripples spread beyond the barriers placed to limit wave fronts, and the related patterns formed when narrow apertures and obstacles are placed in the path of a beam of light. True images are obtained by applying the Schlieren technique to the optical system of the ripple tank. Included are views of optical diffraction patterns.
