Complete Record: Footage by Coni Beeson There are two cores in the can, each is about 500ft. both are silent film around larger core: At the very start we are close to a conveyor belt as we watch cans roll past us. Then we are looking at the horizon rolling by out the window of a vehicle. Scenes of rolling factory machinery and rolling landscape are interspersed. Other images of the factory are shown, faces of the workers, workers sorting round fruits or vegetables. The last three quarters of the film takes place in the “Cannery Workers Health Clinic” where we see nurses giving men and women checkups. These consist of: measuring height, checking vision, x-rays of the torso, some kind of measurements of breath, electrocardiograms, and blood samples. We see the blood samples as they are labeled and then we see charts, a centrifuge, and tubes of liquid and air bubbles. There is a short sequence where a computer is used. A truck pulls the checkup trailer along the road. There are some quick stills in the film, portraits of men, then workers in a laboratory. film around smaller core: Mostly, if not exclusively the same as the above film.
