Part 1, guerillas parade in Tirana, Albania; Brit. Halifax bombers fly overhead. Part 2, a wreath is placed on photographer Damain Parer's tomb in Sydney. Flashbacks show footage taken by Parer: Brit. tanks and infantry advancing in Libya; Brit. mortars firing on Crete; troops advancing near Salamaua, New Guinea; a soldier helping a blinded comrade; a Japanese ship in the Bismarck Sea; and U.S. troops landing on Pelelieu. Part 3 shows how plywood is manufactured and used in boats, gliders, and Brit. Mosquito bombers. Part 4, elephants are used by the Brit. 14th Army to help in the construction of bridge in Burma. Shows a wood-chopping contest.
