Volcano

Description: Describes the growth of the volcano Paricutin, which rose suddenly in central Mexico. Sequences cover the volcano’s first eruption in 1943, and its sturdy growth since that time. Shows water vapor, rocks, molten lava, the throat of the cone, and some of the devastation wrought in nearby areas by the slow crushing advance of the lava flow.
