Description: Recounts a Hindu parable in which Narada, after performing a favor of the god Vishnu, is granted fulfillment of one wish. Relates that Narada requests to know the meaning of Vishnu's Maya, the mysterious power which allows him to make the dreams of the universe become real. Depicts the events that follow, in which Narada leaves to fetch water for Vishnu, becomes friendly with a village family and ends up marrying the family's daughter, raising children, becoming the spiritual leader of the village and, years later, losing his wife and children to flood waters. Concludes with Narada waking from a sleep to Vishnu's iteration of his request for water, indicating that he had been waiting some 30 minutes.
