Vienna

For more than six centuries the Hapsburg emperors were the most powerful rulers in Europe. In Vienna they lived in two glittering palaces: the Schonbrunn (where six-year-old Mozart first achieved fame) and the Hofburg. Vienna is a city with a great musical heritage: Beethoven, Brahms, Strauss, and Schubert all lived, worked, and found fame there. The tradition continues today with the 600-year-old Vienna Boys' Choir. With hostess Valerie Singleton we also visit the Spanish Riding School and watch as the Lipizzaner horses are trained to dance to the strains of Mozart and Strauss.
