Complete Record: 1.) Woody Woodpecker in “The Screwball” 1947 Woody sneaks into a baseball game and causes a big ruckus. 2.) A Dick and Larry Cartoon, “Happy Hoboes” 1948 Dick and Larry are two hoboes who get kicked out of an encampment. They get no a train and wind up in a Chinese forest, where they and a ton of other hoboes eat up a big pile of chickens. The owner of the chickens sends them all down into a river with an avalanche of logs. They end up back at the camp and being served by a Chinese guy. 3.) “Gymnasium Jim” 1948 An old Mack Sennett silent film with dubbed voice over dialogue. Story of a man who gets mixed up in a boxing match and trains for the match, has bets against him. The guy against him tries to sneak out and there is a big car chase. In the end the protagonist gets the girl and the money. 4.) “The Fresh Lobster” with Billie Bletcher 1957 A man gets up for a midnight snack and eats a pickle and a whole fresh lobster. He goes back to bed and has indigestion, represented by an animated lobster and pickle fighting in his stomach. He dreams of a huge lobster in his bed, which throws a teacup at him. The man is then chased by a huge lobster, through yards and houses. The lobster is animated and live action as a huge costume/ mannequin. Combines live action and various types of animation including pixilation, drawings, claymation, stop motion, etc. The guy ends back up at his house and wakes up in his broken bed. 5.) Abbot and Costello in “No Indians Please” 1948 Abbot and Costello go to a small western town and get into some trouble with the local Native Americans. A car chase ensues as the INDIANS chase on horses. Hilarious antics and goofy scenarios during the chase. In the end they wind up in a sanitarium headed by the Indian chief they were trying to escape. 6.) Woody Woodpecker “Ace in the Hole” 1948 Woody learns to fly a plane from a book and gets bullied by a bull DOG sergeant. He ends up in a plane but is chased down by the DOG. The DOG winds u p getting blown up with a pile of bombs but Woody is stuck on horse trimming duty indefinitely.
