Three avenues of attack are covered. Island hopping through the Central Pacific, bombing campaigns mounted from Aleutian Islands, and the Burma overland route. Allied success have caused Japan to create an inner fortress of defense. Key to that fortress is the industrial might of Manchuria and the Japanese defense workers, who are characterized as doing the will of the Emperor.
