Hagerstown coach, Jim Brown, and other athletics personnel narrate. USMC Drum & Bugle Corps performs and the Marine Corps Assistant Director of Personnel speaks during opening ceremonies. The Home of the Commandants is visible in the background as boys participate in physical fitness contests. Members of the top three high school teams, Ramsey (New Jersey), DeWitt Clinton (Bronx, New York), and West (Bakersfield, California), receive trophies. Ralph Cobb, President of Post Division, General Foods Corporation, and John B. Kelly, President of Amateur Athletic Union, speak at the awards banquet. Cobb and Earl E. Anderson, Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, award trophies. Before leaving Washington, D.C., North Hagerstown students visit the War Memorial Monument and other attractions.
