USMC 107606 Decade 1970 Date 1973 Description Republic of Korea Commander Kim visits 2nd Division Marine headquarters. Cmdr Kim and USMC MajGen W.G. Joslyn greet each other, survey vehicles. Cmdr Kim operates 155 self-propelled Howitzer. At Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, recruits parade for Cmdr Kim and Gen. Robert H. Barrow. They then attend recruit graduation ceremony. Kim observes recruits training in the field. At Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Beaufort Kim and Barrow are briefed on the AV8A Harrier after which the officers are joined by spouses. Cmdr Kim and others board a CT39G aircraft. Cmdr Kim arrives at MCAS New River and is greeted by USMC officers to include Gen R.E. Cushman Jr. and their spouses.
