Description
USS Vesuvius (AE-15) moves through the water and trades persons and cargo via cable. USS Chukawan (AO-100) refuels another ship. A fleet is seen including the USS Carpellotti (APD-136). The coast line is seen from the ship. A Marine communicates with a handheld radio device. Other Marines stand by with M14 rifles. Marines practice landing exercises on beaches. A raft is lowered off the deck of a submarine, the USS Sealion (SS-315). Several Marines climb into rafts before floating on the water, tethered by a line.
