CH46 and H34 helicopters land in a field, marines run through the helicopter�s dust cloud. Marines walk through a section of woods and consult a map. Two Marines set up and test tripwire smokescreens. Miscellaneous operations are carried out at a field base camp: map consultation, paperwork, field communications, setup of hammocks and tents. USS Vermilion (AKA-107) and the USS Muliphen (AKA-61) deliver Marines to landing crafts to arrive off the coast of Onslow Beach. Live fire squad maneuvering is undertaken at the G12 range after a lecture. A CH46 helicopter lifts off and touches down, arriving with Marines.
