USMC 104481 Decade 1960 Date 1967-03 Description Weapons demonstration is shown. A rocket launcher is loaded with a 3.5 round and shouldered by a marine before being fired. The recoil is so strong, it knocks the marine's helmet off his head the first time. An M-60 machine gun is fired by a marine as another feeds belted ammunition. M-14 Rifles are fired by a series of marines. A marine reloads a fresh magazine before firing once more. The interior of an LVTP-5 is shown with marines prone in bunkers (casualty simulation). A rifle (30 caliber Winchester Model 70 sniper rifle with scope) is shown on screen. A marine opens the empty chamber and pulls back the bolt before closing it again. Demonstration of a M-97 flame thrower, a marine points out the fuel tanks and appears to explain the weapon's anatomy. A 60mm mortar and 107mm Howtar are loaded and fired multiple times.
