Marines, a Marine band, civilians, naval officers, and an unidentified Marine general (possibly Major General Graves B. Erskine) listen as a Marine chaplain speaks in front of a Pearl Harbor memorial. Military personnel salute as the Marine band plays music. A naval chaplain speaks into the microphone. Footage of a wreath with a ribbon that reads, "[illegible] to American Heroes." An arrangement of flowers left on the memorial has a ribbon that reads, "United States Marine Corps." The memorial has a sign that reads, "Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941 There were others who gave their lives gallantly defending their ships and found no resting place in hollowed ground.
