Fire drill demo at Camp Pendleton on October 8, 1952. Historic and modern fire trucks parade down the street. Signs read, "I've done my part 'Please do yours,'" "Camp Del Mar California Fire Prevention Week October 5-11 Protect life and property 'Do your part–be fire conscious Help us maintain our past fire record' 'Every week is fire prevention week at Del Mar,'" "Please prevent fires 'I'm too old to fight,'" "You pay $100,000 for this 'Help prevent fires,'" "Only you can prevent fires," "Don't miss this Firefighting Show Wed Oct 8 12:30 Football Field," and "Fires destroy lives, homes, wildlife, & timber Prevent fires." A Camp Pendleton fire inspector demonstrates use of fire extinguishers. Firefighters of the Camp Pendleton Fire Department demonstrate use of fire hoses and demonstrate smoking hazards. Sailors transport a fire victim to an ambulance. Footage of historic firefighting equipment. Marine cameraman V. L. Schmick can be seen on the field filming the demo.
