Fire drill demo at Camp Pendleton on October 8, 1952. Historic and modern fire trucks parade down the street. Signs on the trucks read, "Camp Del Mar California Fire Prevention Week October 5-11 Protect life and property 'Do your part–be fire conscious Help us maintain our past fire record' 'Every week is fire prevention week at Del Mar,'" "I've done my part 'Please do yours,'" "Please prevent fires 'I'm too old to fight,'" and "Only you can prevent fires." A Camp Pendleton fire inspector demonstrates use of fire extinguishers and a fire blanket. Firefighters of the Camp Pendleton Fire Department demonstrate use of fire hoses and ladders, and demonstrate smoking hazards. Boy scouts, civilians, and Marines spectate.
