Marines use bulldozers, lay barbed wire, lay land mines, construct barricades, and tie off a landing craft. Footage of naval fleet offshore. A plane takes off from an aircraft carrier. An unidentified Brigadier General greets Admiral Lynde D. McCormick and an unidentified naval officer as they arrive on a R4D. McCormick inspects Marines and leaves in a staff car. Marines fire 40 mm antiaircraft guns, .50 caliber machine guns, 155 mm Howitzers, and mortars. Jets provide close air support. Marines operate M4A3 flamethrower tanks. Major General Field Harris and officers greet Lieutenant General Graves B. Erskine as he arrives on a R4D. The R4D prepares to take off. Footage of U.S. flag and flag demarking a Lieutenant General.
