Shepherd, Shepherd's wife, unidentified Naval officers, unidentified Army officers, and civilians sit in the review stand to watch a parade along a thoroughfare lined with civilians. The Hawaiian Armed Services Police (HASP), M.Ps, Marines, the Marine Corps Band, and Naval personnel pass in review in the parade. Marines demonstrate the use of a carbine (with bayonet), a BAR, a M2 Browning, a 81mm mortar, a bazooka, and a flamethrower. Diamond Head volcano is visible in the background.
