USMC 103386 Decade 1950 Description The TTU (Troop Training Unit) was a special Naval unit mostly composed of Marines who fought in the Pacific in WWII. Training activities at the Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base includes scenes showing Marines arriving by ship and transferring to LCVP by cargo netting, marching on base and signs indicating the building names. TTU instructors oversee the landing of LCVPs on the beach and the erection of shore party signs.
