Description
The TTU (Troop Training Unit) was a special Naval unit mostly composed of Marines who fought in the Pacific in WWII.
Footage of the entrance to U.S. Naval Station, Norfolk. Marines march in column formation with the USS Montague (AKA-98) and the USS LST-532 in the background. Footage of the Norfolk Naval yard. Footage of ships, including the USS Cambria (APA-36), the USS Marquette (AKA-95), and the USS Okaloosa (APA-219), moored in the harbor. Troops board the USS Okaloosa. Naval officers inspect cargo. Sailors load cargo onto a ship. Footage of a gun on the fantail of a ship. Troop ships follow in the background. Footage of a 40 mm antiaircraft gun on board a ship. Sailors and Marines view Castillo San Felipe del Morro from the side of a ship. Sailors and Marines watch as their ship docks in San Juan.
