Marines compete in sprints, buy beer and food, jump hurdles, compete in three-legged races, run sprints in combat dress, run relay races, dive from a diving board, and drill in a parade field. Montford Point Marines drill in a parade field. Two members of the Montford Point Marines execute a Queen Anne salute. Two automobiles, one of them a MG T-Type sports car, drive across and park on the parade field. Johnny Roventini "Johnny the Bellboy", the publicized celebrity for Philip Morris Cigarettes, climbs out of the MG T-Type. Major General Erskine and an unidentified officer climb out of the other car. Roventini signs autographs for spectators, speaks into a microphone, and sits on Erskine's lap.
