USMC 103326 Decade 1950 Description Marines depart from a train terminal and say goodbye to their families. An unidentified Marine says goodbye to his family and boards a Pullman train. Footage of several armored vehicles in background as the train departs. Marines look out of the window of the train as it departs and waive goodbye to their families. Trailer buses arrive with Marines onboard. Marines exit the trailer buses and form up. Marines sit around in groups waiting for transportation. LVTs and tanks sit on flat rail cars in the background. Marines arrive on buses, exit buses, and form up. Marines arrive in cars and say goodbye to their families. Footage of the entire departure area as it rains: a train carrying vehicles departs, Marines wait on buses, civilians and Marines wait in cars. Lieutenant General LeRoy P. Hunt and unidentified officers talk to Marines before they depart. Marines board a train. Unidentified officers, including a Brigadier General and a Major General, watch as Marines board a train. A Marine Corps Band ensemble plays music as Marines board the train. A large base drum being played reads, "USMC Second Marine Division". Civilians watch as Marines board the train. A train carrying Jeeps, DUKWs, and Marines departs. In the background sit stockpiled LVTA-3s and LVT-3s. Marines unload supplies from a semi-trailer truck into a train car. One of the bags being loaded into the train car reads, "Pavick". Other Marines known to be in the film: C. J. Donovan.
