Specific scenes include Marines doing calisthenics on deck, PFC Steve Yavelack Jr holding a sand shark caught by Lt. Kent Arnold. Sgt. Harry Baumbeck and Capt. R. R. Bucher issue clothing. Pfc. R. L. Gates, Pfc. G. G. Put, Pfc. J. J, Arlock, Pfc. A. Vanche, and Cpl. J. A. Magazzini play a game. J. Ridgerson boxes. Lt. H. L. Johnson Jr, Lt. B. N. Norlin, Cpl. R. D. Donnelson, Pfc. L. W. Cortes, Pfc. T. H. Lauer, and R. J. Jones are also shown. LCU loaded onto ship and shown headed towards shore. On land, African American Army men help Marines move howitzers, including "Glamour Gal" by crane and by foot. They are set up an camouflaged. The second sequence, off Honolulu, shows an African American gun crew firing at a rabbit plane from USS Talladega (APA-208).
