Description
Film produced by American aerospace manufacturing corporation McDonnell Douglas commemorating its Skyraider attack and close air support aircraft. Centered around a ceremony held by the U.S. Navy honoring the retirement of the last Skyraider in its service in 1968, the film charts the history of the Skyraider from its inception and prototype in 1944-45; through its Naval service in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam; to its final flight to the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida. The film also highlights the versatility of the aircraft's mission-type capabilities, its air strike power, and its impressive armament capacity.
