Cameraman (Cockrell) and assistant make their way from the shore through the rear areas toward the front, marking their progress on a map along the way. They film supply stacks and USMC encampments, including a Japanese Intelligence Material Documents and Weapons station with stacks of rifles, helmets, binoculars, supply boxes and explosives. They also pass a shore party encampment as they progress to the airfield and the 5th Division command post. The majority of the film depicts supply movement and organization by Marines, with close up shots of various rations (coffee, apricots, sausages), diesel and gasoline cans and medical supply boxes.
