Presents a dramatized situation where Ben Curtis, an unpopular but deserving student, is appointed editor of the high school newspaper and the reactions to his appointment by members of the press club. Indicates the feelings of Bob Stevens, a popular group leader who is disappointed, the teacher who views Ben as the best choice, and Ben himself, who wants the appointment, but is unaware of his unpopularity and rejection by the group. Closes with raising questions concerning the superficial standards which we use in judging others and encourages class discussion of understanding those not like ourselves.
