moral agent she was just a and then a servant party go like that word of Prayer with you ask you to bow your heads to me please every head bowed and every eye closed I'm one of those there's possibly one here this afternoon who might be at this crossroads of life ready to make a change ready to give Jesus Christ a chance in your life to make the whole the real man out of you there's one I'd like to ask you to lift up your hand so feel the same pray for me I'd like to give Jesus a chance in my life a chance to make a whole man out of me so just lift up that in and put it down remember in prayer there one slip knocking off seat and then put it down it's the most important decision we have to make in life [Music] let's pray I thank you Lord for the privilege of being here no it's not all girls I booze and sing I told you that's only about 10% of the trucking industry is crowding and boozing and women than thought that's not the mean part of the trucker the mean part of trucking is guys like me I got 10 kids at home I got a big family I been to the same you get 5 it we're all we're interested in one thing our families and what's gonna happen and the trucking industry is gonna do it for us take a lot the big chance to another older those are after today and after something about here mind a thing up my friend I mean you just can't think of no and of course it's not talking to me is way life I've been warped by the rain driven by the snow I'm drunk and dirty don't you know I'm still willing and I was out on the road late at night I've seen my pretty Alice in every headlight Allen come here that's ever been the back road to our and if you give me [Music] I've run every mountain range in North America I've run with the drivers I've I've wept with him I've laughed with him I've slept with him and and everything else in their bunk rooms and of Canada one time this trucker followed me for literally a hundred miles or so and we finally pulled into a truck stop and he come out he jumped out of his cab and came over and as I jumped out he said hey he says you're a trucker and I said well did you expect anything else yeah he said I expected a some guy with his collar on backwards and but he says I know you're a trucker and I said well how do you know I'm a trucker he said because for the last hundred miles he said I watched your stack and of course he could see the diesel smoke and how I was gearing and how I grew into Benz and and how I'd break gear and so on and so on and through that I was able to sit with him for a coffee and minister to him and he received one of our Bibles that we give to truckers transport for Christ was founded in 1951 by a young Canadian trucker known today throughout North America as chaplain jinkies we are interdenominational but we certainly work with all denominations all over the country [Music] all our personnel if they're chaplains have to be ordained and of course we have a lot of men who are not ordained but they're workers we have three mobile chapels now we're hoping they're very shortly we will be building more we need at least 50 of these rigs on the road to meet the need we have these truckers pounding on the door in the middle of the night come in and to relate to us their problems and to ask for prayer they just want an ear to listen I get low in spirit sometimes to my guy that's come in and drive that truck and just thinking of my living Haven but the aspects of Christ they sometimes forget about it I'm a Sunday going man church man well we're gonna have a meeting there afternoon of three and then possibly one tonight at 6:00 and tour afternoon to no religion because we don't get home we get to Montreal if it's down there we'll if we were in the mood to go to something like that this is where we go you don't go to look for a church with a tractor trailer not all over the city in the Sunday afternoon little morning so this stuff like this so you pick it up through the week it's not a freaky organization like like you say well we spend today at the Queensway over there the other day trace now at the center of our home and we have problems with two teenagers and and all we have problems but we do have Christ and every one of our children know Christ and it's been a different life all together it's very hard to to live a good testimonial we have a lot of fun we've bought a problem but crises have just changed the whole atmosphere within the house sometimes you may may sit alone because people don't maybe I'm afraid you're going to talk to them my religion and I'm very thankful that my husband is a trucker I'm proud of the fact he's a trucker my children are proud of the fact my son I hope will be a trucker within a few years but I hope he goes down the road remembers but crisis over him to there being a turkey you know there's in the trucking industry that that the name of Jesus Christ is used but this is not used in the way should we use that there's many times they and I just thinking that we have the privilege of using his name in love or not occurring and if we want this song is all those Christians and Amity [Music] no one likes to see a truck torn up but you know it comes right down to a fort builds new trucks every day Mike builds new trucks every day but gentlemen there's only one of you and the far as your family is concerned nobody can take your place no amount of human money can ever make up for human life there's only one of you the chapel's naturally presented a safety program and we have initiated this program through the scripture safety is of the Lord proverbs 21 31 i well remember one morning going into one of the major terminals in New York City you hold meetings and as the first crew came in they were quite a rough and ready group and they weren't just about to settle down whatsoever and I stood there and as the last individual came in he sat down he said holy he's a chaplain he said you've got to let Christ in and I looked at him I said fella I said he's been here a long time he's just waiting for you and of course the men who had come in were still quite unruly and I just simply looked at them and shouted shut up and of course you wouldn't find too many ministers telling her congregation to shut up well they did shut up you know some time ago will rain to Nashville sitting in a little restaurant there and right across the road from a parking yard kind of with one of the boys there and we spoke to him just opposed this very thing we saved him John there's a few things near life but you know as well as I do that needs straightening out when are you going to get things straightened out of the Lord he's a just don't you worry about me I'm gonna get things straightened out of a lot one of these days and I certainly agree with you that I'm not ready to meet the Lord but don't you worry by the time my turn comes I'll be ready certainly he looked at his launch well we gotta go loads ready and the way he went the next day we left town but a month later he was going out of Nashville going down 24 Highway he came to a bridge there's a car stopped in the bridge he went to stop realize that he can't he went to go through between the car and the bridge railing and I don't know what happened he missed his gas he caught the corner of the bridge with his truck tore the truck to pieces and him with her now I don't know what happened between the time that we said goodbye to him and the restaurant there in the night of the wreck I don't know I like to think he got things straightened out but the last words that I heard from him were this one of these days I'm gonna get things straightened out we mean the Lord just don't you worry about me getting us all together in the same place we have the same feelings to work what's that some of them don't understand you know I guess maybe they never went to Sunday school when they were small so they don't really realize is that as you get older you see all different things that are happening [Music] [Music] homes are dedicated families are dedicated to the Lord and we know that we dedicate our children with in this day and age I believe that the vehicle that we take out on the highway to earn our living from should also be dedicated to the Lord the Lord dispatches an angel to watch over our people as they travel the highways so for that reason this afternoon I would like to pray with you and dedicate this beautiful piece of equipment to our Lord we pray this afternoon for bill here and for his wife and for his son that your hand of protection will rest and abide upon him and the thankful for the job that you have given us to do if you have it and truckers brought it father weep as he operates this vehicle that you would be his pilot and he the copilot of the unit and all that he does in all of these says would be to your glory that Jesus Christ might have all the honor we just pray this afternoon your guidance and direction on this family bless them meet their every need but we ask it in Jesus precious name Amen praise the Lord thank you better where's the ball good to have you with us man get more
