TOUGH KID.

(In Los Angeles office only.) The heart-warming story of a youngster who never had a chance, who was tough because he did not know how to be anything else. Frankie Darro, one of the most popular juvenile stars, plays the hard boiled but honest brother of a prizefighter who gets into the toils of a gang of gamblers. They plan to clean up on a championship fight at the expense of the kid's brother, but unforeseen complications in the form of the "tough kid" arise to hopelessly thwart their crookedness. Dick Purcell and Judith Allen furnish the romantic interest and Lillian Elliot is ideal as "Mom," the lovable Irish mother.
