Description: A Thai language film with English subtitles. Uses the story of a poverty-stricken farmer in Northeast Thailand to depict political conditions there in the mid-1970's. Tells how the farmer loses his land when a hydroelectric dam cuts off his water supply, forcing him to support his family with menial jobs. Shows how his life drastically changes when he meets a student who involves him in a seminar to discuss the possibility of another hydroelectric project.
