Documents the life of filmmaker Ross McElwee from his engagement to be married through the birth of his first son in this sequel to the film Sherman's March. Chronicles scenes from daily life and shows McElwee as he tries to deal with his father's death and a miscarriage. Ruminates on the philosophical angst of differentiating between life and art, and deals with the issues of death, family, and growing up in the south.
