Description: Larry Ballentine (Robert Young) had married Greta (Greta) for her money. He started seeing Janice Bell (Jane Greer) behind his wife's back, but feelings had grown between them. Janice gets a job transfer, and tells Larry their relationship is over. At the time, Larry agrees to run off with her, never telling Janice goodbye. Verna Carlson (Susan Hayward) is killed and Larry seriously injured in hospital. Police mistakenly identify Verna as Greta because of the wedding ring.
