Description: Documents the activities of a third-grade class under the guidance of their teacher through photography and recording under actual classroom conditions. Shows Mrs. King as she explains to her class that they are there to learn to read. Depicts the teacher using tests and other diagnostic techniques to determine the weak and strong points of the pupils so that she may plan reading activities which are not beyond the reading skills of her pupils. Follows the class as they are divided into four sections to study a unit on the American Indian. Demonstrates a variety of reading techniques such as choral reading and world analysis. Concludes with the performances of an Indian show by her pupils.
