Description: Documents a herd of over 1,000,000 wildebeeste on their annual, epic 2,000 mile migration through the Serengeti Plains in search of grass and water during the dry summer months. Shows how the wildebeeste divide into small groups for the journey and mark off boundaries by rubbing their faces into the ground. Reveals that predators, treacherous rivers and terrain, grass fires, and disease are obstacles that the wildebeeste must face on their journey.
